Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific Ocean in 1805 and were amazed at the roaring ocean, steep cliffs and very tall trees that still make up this majestic landscape today. About michele maule From the time I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to do something art related when I grew up. Fast forward to college, I studied art with no real idea what I could do with my degree. After working numerous years for a local grocery store chain, I started working on a small card line that I could present to the home goods buyer of company I worked for. She loved the cards and soon ordered them for all 8 of the stores at the time. Soon, I was selling in all of those stores, along with several local Portland shops and even around the country.
