A bump on the bottom edge of the front cover. Some light soiling to cover with 2 pin-head sized spots of soiling on the back cover. Inside the front cover is a presentation label from Mr. Bernard Quaritch (the publisher) and on that label is a discrete rubber stamp withdrawing the book from the Academy of Sciences library of which this book was never catalogued.
