Letterpress Holiday Card: Trumpet

I always forget that delicious gingerbread exists.  I must force someone to make me some. This design was painted with Chinese paintbrushes and black calligraphy ink on thick, premium raw rice paper.  It was then made into a letterpress plate, and each card was individually pressed on a vintage flatbed cylinder Vandercook press, onto soft cotton paper. Blank inside. Card details:• 4-Bar / A1 folded card (3.5 x 4.875 inches)• Paired with kraft envelope• Cello sleeved for protection• Printed on 118 lb. tree-free cotton paper made from 100% recovered cotton from the textile industry (that would otherwise go to a landfill)• Printed with a hand-cranked vintage letterpress in our Los Angeles studio
