Book's history: The Book came from Molly Schultz's personal collection, The Evergreens, a famous home, built in 1896 by Charles Shultz, president of Hoboken Savings Bank, which was donated to the Montclair History Center by Shultz's only surviving grandchild, Molly Shultz. Molly Shultz was a well-known figure in town who threw big Christmas parties and welcomed frequent house guests. She headed her family's building supply company at a time when a woman running a business was virtually unheard of, and was a member of the Montclair Historical Society, later the Montclair History Center.
