He thinks that each cask should tell its own unique tale, so he travels to Scotland and Ireland to hand-select single casks from the inventories of the world’s greatest distilleries. Then he custom bottles each one with its own story. How many bottles, you ask? Well, until the barrel is empty. Like all Chapter 7 Monologue releases, this one is also a single cask. And no, we don’t mean a series of single casks, but just one single cask of a stunning Single Malt from the revered Caol Ila distillery on the isle of Islay. It was distilled in 2012 and aged in a single Bourbon hogshead cask before it was bottled in 2021. Single cask means not very many bottles were yielded; to be precise, there were only 301 bottles produced of the fruity, smoky and salty Chapter 7 Monologue 8 Year Old Caol Ila 2012.
