The oldest age-stated Kentucky Single Malt in US. Lexington Brewery & Distillery Co. is the first booze-making establishment built in Lexington, KY, in over a century and the only brewery and distillery combo on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Family-owned and operated by Dr. Mark Lyons, who represents the seventh generation of the Lyons family to be in the brewing, distilling and cooperage industry and founded by Pearse Lyons, the legendary Irish biochemist who also founded Alltech. Introduced in 2012, Town Branch brand bets on its lime-stone rich water source and local grains. The brewery/distillery creates Ales, Stouts, Gins, Whiskey, Ryes, and Bourbons. They ferment mash bills in cypress wood containers, while trusting the distillation to two large copper pot stills from Scotland. It is said that in every Spirit, there’s a bit of a Gaelic soul.
