The Dalmore 45-Year-Old Single Malt (lovingly assembled by Master Distiller Richard Paterson) was first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and moved to barriques that once held Cabernet Sauvignon. Then, they moved it back to Bourbon barrels for a while before relocating it to Tawny Port pipes (which used to age a 20YO wine). It's not over yet: that priceless juice was then married with Scotch that was matured in a combo of ex-Bourbon barrels and Colheita Port pipes.
