Morgen Long is a Chardonnay-only project from winemaker Seth Morgen Long, who’s become one of Oregon’s leading voices in precise, terroir-driven whites. His 2022 Willamette Valley bottling blends fruit from several top sites—including X Omni, Yamhill, and Seven Springs—offering a beautifully complete picture of what Oregon Chardonnay can be at its most focused and expressive. The wine opens with lemon oil, green apple, and pear skin, followed by subtle notes of almond, flint, and a whisper of creaminess from neutral barrel aging and extended lees contact. It’s lean but not austere—there’s depth here, too, with great acidity and a long, mineral finish. Serve it with seafood, roast chicken, or just let it unfold in the glass.
