Beringer’s 2002 Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon blends fruit from top Napa Valley vineyards, including Bancroft Ranch and Steinhauer on Howell Mountain. These sites contribute structure and intensity. The vintage was warm and consistent, yielding ripe, balanced fruit. Aged in new French oak for over 20 months, the wine was bottled with the intention of long-term aging. The Private Reserve is Beringer’s flagship, showing the depth and polish of classic Napa Cabernet at maturity.
