Springbank 10 Year Old Single Malt Bourbon casks are mainly used for maturation, sherry casks are also used for added body. Aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat. Complex tastes of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and the salty tang. "Matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. A whiff of brine on the early nose, with damp earth, citrus fruit, cereal, and mildly smoky oak. The palate is supple and offers vanilla toffee, cedarwood, hazelnuts, and more brine. A spicy finish yields coconut and a hint of dry peat."
