This combination of flavours was achieved by maturing Ardbeg’s instantly recognisable spirit in bourbon barrels and Madeira casks. The aromatic spiciness and bright acidity of this Portuguese fortified wine brings a welcome freshness to this heavily peated single malt that runs from the palate through to a long, smoky finish.
