1996 Robert Groffier Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers
1996 Robert Groffier Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers The Robert Groffier Père et Fils estate is a family vineyard very popular with amateurs. It was the cyclist Jules Groffier who founded this seven-hectare estate, located on superb plots of Chambolle Musigny, Bonnes Mares de Clos de Bèze. Robert Groffier, who now manages the estate with his son Serge, is considered one of the best winegrowers in the Côte d'Or. The care given to the vines, combined with rigorous control of yields, results in wines that marvelously express the expression of Pinot Noir. Since 2005 Nicolas Groffier joined the estate and is responsible for the winemaking. The vines are mostly located in Chambolle-Musigny and include the famous plot of Les Amoureuses. The wines from this estate demonstrate great finesse, with very silky textures, but also power and structure. Wines made for long aging.
