Created from the combination of the English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, and Northern Irish (no emoji) flags, the UK flag is as beautiful as it is full of meaning.  You: But wait, Michael. Isn't Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 part of the UK? Why aren't they represented in the flag of the United Kingdom?  Me: Great question! And the answer lies in a long British history of pretending Wales doesn't exist.
