To celebrate Hans Wegner's impressive legacy, the CH24 Wishbone Chair has now been reintroduced in oiled teak with mix oiled oak details as they were originally designed. Teak is characterized by its high strength, stability, and vibrant color which elegantly changes from orange to reddish-brown hues during its lifetime.Historically, teak was commonly used to make some of the first Wegner mix chairs in the 1950s - 1960s. As demands grew higher, the use of the tropical teak moved from the indoors to mainly outdoors furniture from Carl Hansen & Søn on account of its high durability. With our recent venture into sourcing teak from our own sawmill in Vietnam, indoor teak furniture is now available with FSC™ certification.
