This coffee is processed at the Gore Kone washing station, which supports the livelihoods of 700-800 small family-owned farms in the West Arsi Zone. Gore Kone coffee is washed, meaning the coffee beans have the cherry removed before they are dried. The washing process prevents fruit fermentation during drying, delivering an unadulterated, clean, and crisp flavor profile that lets the beans' character shine through. After processing, Steady State roasts the green coffee beans to a light roast level to promote sweetness and complexity in the cup.
