Penn Spinfisher VII Spinning Reels It's the 7th Generation classic saltwater spinning reel, the Penn Spinfisher SSVII Spinning Reel Series. Featuring the same full metal body, sideplate, techno balanced rotor, same great HT100 sealed Slammer Drag, IPX5 water resistance rating, handle and bail. The Spinfisher VII (7th Generation of the Classic) features a gearing upgrade. Now all sizes from 2500 to 10500 have all brass gearing, both main and pinion gear! Also there is an added bearing (now 6 shielded stainless steel ball bearings, SSVI had 5) and these new reels have spools that feature Penn's new line clip design with a pressure plate to hold light to heavy lines from 6# to 80#. With drags ranging from 15-50# these spinning reels cover any and all saltwater fishing tasks.
