PRODUCT DESCRIPTION This precious type of elegant lady’s writing desk was called a bonheur-du-jour, literally “happiness of the day” which may refer to the joys of letter writing. Supported on slender cabriole legs, this spectacular desk has 4 drawers in the upper section and a single drawer in the lower part. It's decorated with intricate ormolu brass hardware and a beveled mirrored back. The bronze decoration on the surface areas includes cupids, acanthus leaf, and frames. The key is purely decorative.
