Antique Aubusson-Beauvais Tapestry 2'2" x 4'6"

An over mantel hanging from a skilled French workshop in the detailed 18th-century manner. A shaped buff-tan plain border supports a verdant inner floral wreath with ting white Baby's Breath blossoms, all around a wrapped, multi-stem standing bouquet spilling roses, daisies, paeonies, and other garden flowers out almost to the edge of the straw-sand field. Sienna red, goldenrod, cream, teal, and light blue are among the realistically shaded tones. Good condition.
