A vintage release from the 1970s. This expression reflects an earlier era of Glenfiddich production, when the term “Pure Malt” was commonly used to describe what is now referred to as single malt Scotch. The Glenfiddich Distillery, founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown, Scotland, takes its name from the Gaelic for “valley of the deer,” symbolized by the iconic stag logo on the label. Glenfiddich remains independently owned by William Grant & Sons and is managed by the fifth generation of the founding family.
