Instantly recognized as one of Jindřich Halabala (1903-1978) most famous designs and created after becoming the chief designer for UP Závody (United Arts and Crafts Manufacture) in Brno, Czech. The 1930s version of the lounge chair has sweeping bent beechwood arms and low-slung profile for relaxed seating. This later post-war version from the 1950s has a taller back and more accessible up-right seating. Recently updated in a woven jacquard upholstery fabric in a stylized floral lattice. Sold as a pair.
