A gorgeous Italian sideboard showing a transitional style of post Art Deco elegance in the pre-war early 1940s. The two side cabinets and four central doors are solid sycamore maple with a bright iridescent surface contrasting beautifully with darker stained walnut sides and carved surrounding frame. Distinctive x-form and curved legs with a Neoclassical influence are mirrored in the sculpted brass handles. Likely connected to a Milanese workshop tied to La Permanente Mobili Cantù, Italy. Exceptional.
