New item! Out of Africa wardrobe poster, Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen, 1985 movie

Movie and costume artwork inspired by director Sydney Pollack's 1985 picture, Out of Africa. This Oscar-winning film stars Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen, a Danish woman who owns a farm in British East Africa (nowadays Kenya).  • The watermark will not appear on the printed poster. Costume designer Milena Canonero said "The costumes in Out of Africa had quite an impact on fashion. It was as though the fashion world was ready for the styles of the film; the costumes just caught something that was in the air". Indeed, Meryl Streep’s costumes led to a flow of safari lookalike retail fashion in the late ’80s as a clear result of the influence of this film’s costumes.  But I was inspired by this wedding dress that Karen wears to marry Bror (Klaus Maria Brandauer). According to Karen it's not white but ivory. So damn sophisticated!
