It's designed so that you can add a sling to your rifle without drilling the stock to add a swivel post. It also provides the extra functionality and style of a butt stock cover. We also have patterns for several rifle models that do not have ammo tubes. If your rifle does not have an ammo tube, you may need to find a 3rd party mounting solution for the front sling mount, but our kits will still work on the stock end for attachment of the included sling. Not only can you protect the beauty of your rifle stock, but the optional Cheek Riser allows to keep the crucial cheek-to-stock bond with the stock when using optics, keeping your shots accurate. Optional pocket and/or ammo loops makes the cover even more functional...or you can keep it plain if you'd like.Your choice of either 1" or 1.5" cheek riser makes sure that no matter what size optic your rifle has, you'll have the optimum sight line naturally when raising your rifle to fire. The foam filling in the Cheek Riser allows solid contact, with optimal comfort. The 1" cheek riser is the standard size for most applications. The 1.5" cheek riser is only recommended only for large bell scopes or tall mounts. Leather Rifle Butt Stock Cover Combo is made to fit specific rifle models. The leather laces allow for the perfect fit as well as remaining adjustable for slight variances in stock shapes. The front is attached using a specifically sized clamp for the ammo tube or barrel, meaning it's a truly a secure installation with no drilling required on either end. The 1" Leather Sling Strap has multiple adjustment holes and includes 2 Grovtec Swivels in black oxide steel for attachment. There are 3 choices of leather color to choose from and metal hardware is available in 3 finishes. Harness snaps are on your handed side, opposite your cheek. So if you're right-handed, the snaps would be on the right side of your stock, away from your cheek. You can also add an accessory to your sling strap, such as an Ammo Carrier or Padded Shoulder Pad. The Padded Shoulder Pad can be plain or with ammo loops. Every RLO Custom Leather product is hand cut and hand stitched to the highest standards of craftsmanship. RLO Custom Leather uses veg-tanned American leather from the most patriotic of the bovine species. Leather is top grain which means that the fibers of the leather are tight and uniform with little or no marks on the finished side. The leather is drum-dyed at the tannery for a deep and consistent color. The finished product has sealer applied by hand, setting the dye and offering slight water resistance (leather is never waterproof).
