 Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Green BottleBlue, GBB) is one of the best species to start off with.  They are colorful from the start, fast growers, stay out in the open, make a lot of fun webbing, and feeding time is theatrical! At this size you will only have to rehouse once.  You can start this size off in something about the size of a shoebox.  Add in some silk leaves to use as anchor points for webbing and your GBB will be good to go until it's ready for a permanent home!
