Sweet Tea is a side project formed in 2009 by friends Alex Maas (Black Angels) and Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards). The duo spent a day in the studio this spring covering two amazing classic country duets, “If I Were a Carpenter” and “Crazy Arms”. They’ll be releasing the songs digitally on iTunes mid July. Fat Possum is pressing a limited edition Sweet Tea 7”, which will be available in indie retail outlets early August, though fans won’t have to wait that long to get their hands on a copy.
