They are stunning in person as they are made from circular sawn rough cut that has been finished with an authentic barnwood look. After several layers of paint have been applied they are sanded to reveal some of the wood underneath. Please zoom in on the pictures to look at the fine detail. The raised numbers are laser cut, painted 1/8 thick Birch. These are stock photos and every clock is a little different due to the wood grain, saw blade marks, and sanding. But rest assure it will be similar to the photos. Each clock comes with a high torque motor that is made in the USA. It is the highest quality motor that we can find. The heavier hands are balanced to make the motor and battery last a long time. The motor requires 1AA battery which should last for few years.
