Sandalwood Soap

This is a beautiful soap that lathers richly with the wonderful scent of Sandalwood. I used my favorite Mediterranean soap recipe, which is high in olive and coconut oils. A young friend of ours purchased this soap and several weeks later came back with the story of a young lady at a bar asking him what scent he was wearing because he smelled so good. Needless to say, he wanted to buy more so this soap may have “other” benefits beyond the usual! Sandalwood is a prized essential oil in the perfume industry, especially Indian Sandalwood, with its signature woody notes. It has a high cost and international demand. The sandalwood tree is endangered from over-harvesting and irresponsible agricultural practices.
