U.S. Army M1A2 Abrams TUSK II - Academy 13298 The U.S. M1A2 Abrams remains a popular and formidable main battle tank. Constantly upgraded since its introduction in 1992, the M1A2 continues to hit the front lines with current digital technology. The battle tank features depleted uranium armor and an upgraded commander's cupola. During Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, the tanks were upgraded due to IEDs and other explosives in populated areas. This caused the development of the M1A2 Abrams Tank Urban Survival Kits or TUSK I.
