 12 Inch Clay Mexican Floor Tile This is a solid piece of compressed clay. Each piece covers about 1 sq ft. The second picture shows a set of them where small color variations can be appreciated. Minimum order is 5 tiles.For a longer life to your clay floor tile, we recommend to seal it before installation at least once and once installed it needs at least another 2 coatings all over including the grout. The product shown in the main picture is not sealed. Mexican floor tile comes from the Northern Mexican region of Saltillo, Coahuila. Because of the particular clay available in the region, different colors and hues are created on each clay tile. Hand-pressed and wood-fired, this clay tile is very popular in Spanish style homes. Color changes are particularly notorious from lot to lot, because of the natural variations in clay and the mixtures used in their creation.
