Networked RFID Reader (FX205)

The FX205 RFID Reader is our networked reader designed for long range and/or high-count RFID reading puzzle designs. The network it uses is RS-485, which is designed to run thousands of feet. A 4 wire cable connects all of the readers together and provides power.  The FX205 is compatible with EM4100/EM4200 125Khz RFID tags. While you may find lower-priced third party options, our RFID solution integrates high-quality reader modules and uses industrial-grade networking to deliver superior reliability and capabilities not found elsewhere, particularly as the number of readers grows for a large puzzle.Important Note:  To use the FX205, you will need a BAC V controller and an FX45 expansion module.  One FX45/BAC V combination can accommodate up to 16 readers. High reader count: typically used for 1 to 9 readers, but is expandable up to 16. Long distance communications: The length of cable to the readers and the controller can exceed 1000 feet.
