DETAILS A striking pair of antique bookcases or display cabinets constructed with open shelves backed with old linen fabric. The middle shelf is fixed and the others are adjustable. The base features two cupboard doors flanked by figural atlantes columns and topped by a carved frieze.   STYLE Renaissance Revival PLACE OF ORIGIN Italy | Europe DATE 19th century DIMENSIONS Width 52 Depth 23 Height 98 inches Upper cabinet shelves: Depth 14 inches Base cabinet shelf: Depth 18.75 inches CONDITION Note: (1) base cabinet missing shelf. Some restoration. Would benefit from polishing and waxing. Some shelves bowing. (1) drawer needs reinforcing. The loose door has been re-attached but would require further restoration to close flush to the base. Original fabric is worn and could be replaced if desired.
