Portuguese Medieval 16th Century Chestnut Food Cupboard

DETAILS This very early, antique cabinet was rustically hand crafted for home use. It features double doors with wonderful, primitive, hand forged hinges and inner hasp. The heft of the individual hinges and hand made nails that reinforce the original mortised construction make this piece noteworthy. The round, pierced vent on one door is later, as is the whimsical addition of the porcelain knob.
