Chinese Export Lacquered Four Panel Coromandel Screen
Beautifully weathered Chinese export four-panel coromandel screen decorated on both sides. The screen features a pavilion landscape on one side and a floral and fauna landscape on the reverse side. The panels are lacquered and faded with a desirable distressed finish. Numerous losses and wear add to the character of this screen. The red lacquer has faded into a deep rich mahogany tone. Each panel is conjoined by hinges and the panels have shaped legs ending with patinated brass clad feet.
