2022 Alex Moreau Chassagne-Montrachet

One of the top addresses in Chassagne-Montrachet, the wines of Bernard Moreau, have been some of the favorites of the appellation for many years, and these are the last bottles we have of the fantastic Chassagne-Montrachet AC, which is always one of the top buys here. Alex Moreau has been making the wines at his family domaine for many years but decided in 2021 to relabel under his name. While the label has changed, the wines have not, and these are the same wines that we have all come to love. 2022 is an excellent example of this wine and is a contender for one of the best of all time. This is sourced from a few Domaine plots in Chassagne-Montrachet, with about 1/3 coming from in and around Les Masures (situated near Morgeot and Champgains), giving the wines their minerality, and 2/3rds coming from the Chassagne-Puligny border, which contributes fruit and freshness.
