Malachite crystallizes in the form of masses, tufts, rosettes, crusts, botryoidal configurations, compact fibrous layered structures, and, rarely, stalactites and needle-like crystals and prismatic crystals with wedge-shaped terminations. The colour ranges from light to dark green. Some of the formations also exhibit a druse of small malachite crystals on the surface. Malachite is on the list of toxic minerals/crystals. Please handle with caution, especially raw mineral specimens/unpolished pieces. As far as I understand it, as long as you wash your hands after handling and do not get it wet (do not cleanse specimens by water or use for submerged elixirs!), inhale it’s dust, try and take a bite out of it or make a sandwic
