The 16-gauge steel housing is extremely durable and features a clear polycarbonate face shield that protects the internal components of the exit sign from tampering. The screws that hold this LED exit sign together are tamper proof, further reducing the chances of vandalism or abuse. Red or green LEDs are efficient, consuming less than 5 watts of electricity. The BGL-EVR steel heavy duty exit sign comes with a 90-minute Nickel Cadmium battery backup that insures the safety of building occupants.
