Overview The wheelchair exit sign is an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) approved exit fixture that distinguishes those egress points that are wheelchair accessible. During an emergency power failure, the LED-lit wheelchair exit sign points disabled occupants to the nearest exit that they can access. The EX-WC is a popular fixture in hospitals and retirement communities that have a large amount of physically handicapped occupants. These exit signs use very little power and will last between 8 and 10 years.
