Time Delay Emergency Light
Overview High-intensity discharge lamps (HIDs) such as Metal Halide, Mercury Vapor or High Pressure Sodium are becoming increasingly popular due to the brilliant light they produce on a small amount of AC power. Such gas-discharge lamps have a “warm-up” time when their ballasts are activated, and take at least 15 minutes to reach their full brightness after a power failure. The problem with this warm-up period is there will not be enough available light to meet OSHA's minimum foot candle requirements. To this end, our manufacturers have developed special time-delay emergency lighting fixtures that continue to provide the required amount of illumination following a power outage. Features Standard 15 minute time delay; custom times may be selected Heavy-duty steel or waterproof polycarbonate cabinets Battery backup test button Sealed lead acid battery provides at least 90 minutes of illumination UL 924 Listed; NEC and NFPA compliant Application A universal mounting pattern and key hol
