Overview The aluminum direct view exit sign uses red or green LEDs which are directly visible in the 'exit' stencil of the unit, giving it the longest viewing distance of any exit sign we carry. Most exit fixtures use a single LED strip placed inside the housing which edge-lights a red or green lens, producing much dimmer illumination. Standard exit signs can only be seen up to 75 feet, and this visibility decreases if there is smoke in the room. However our EX-AL-DV has a max viewing distance of 300 feet and the unobstructed LED strips can penetrate thick smoke from up to 100 feet away.
