Know the Way

Isn't it remarkable how butterflies just seem to know the way as they experience their metamorphosis? These winged wonders never cease to amaze, and the quartet gathered here is no exception. Hand-crafted in Czechoslovakia (marked on the reverse of each) each shows entirely unique enamel decoration on brass metal (wonderful patterns of stripes and dots) and hand-set colorful crystal jewels as their bodies. The four flutter at the side but are detachable, allowing the wearer to move them around as desired - or even allow them to adorn other outfits and accessories. Simply pin them on for a bit of extra joy and inspiration. Here, they rest among hand-carved beads of dotted bone from Kenya and faceted brass from India, fastened at back by a gold-over-copper hook clasp. Measures 17.5" at shortest strand.
