It is best to measure your wire diameter in millimeters, rather than use the MCM wire size. This is because the insulation thickness varies materially from one wire manufacturer to the next. It is much better to oversize your CT than to undersize it. Our 25mm Solid Core CT is very compact for it's current rating (400A). They are designed to be used in conjunction with our Omnimeter line of kWh meters. All of our current transformers have an accuracy class of 0.1 (+/- 0.1% accurate). These CTs have 15,037 internal turns, creating a 26.6mA output at 400 amps. Use these CTs for any system from under 1/4 amp to 400 amps. Use 1 CT for 120 volt single phase Nor
