He wears the fireman’s robes, here decorated with a dragon, and in his left hand holds a red lantern with the symbol of his brigade aloft. In his right hand he seems to hold a shakujo, a staff used by itinerant Buddhist monks. The head of the dragon may be seen on the actor’s left sleeve, and the claws clutching the jewel may be seen on his right sleeve.
