Hasui 巴水: Snow at Koshigaya 越ヶ谷の雪 (Sold)

Artist: Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) Title: Snow at Koshigaya  越ヶ谷の雪 Date: 1935 Peaceful view of a docked wooden boat during a snowstorm, the marshes across the river slowly being blanketed by snow. The snowflakes are large and are printed with blind embossing so that they are evident even when falling atop the pure white areas. A tiny hut is shown at the edge of a promontory on the Motoarakawa River in Saitama Prefecture. With the Watanabe seal that was used between 1932 and 1941, this may be considered an early edition Condition: Very good impression, color and condition.
