The high limit switch L-250 Manual Reset should trip if the internal stove temperature reaches 250 Degrees F and shut the auger and stove down for safety then resets automatically. If this switch is faulty it can still auto reset and test good. Therefore if the stove is shutting down when it heats up or the control panel reads OverTemp and not operarting properly, this switch should be replaced.
