This handmade hat inspiration comes from a little bit of Wild West and a whole lot of Rock and Roll. In 1875 the Black Hills Gold Rush stampede to Deadwood Gulch started. In 1876 the city of Deadwood, South Dakota, was officially laid out. That brought in the prospectors, adventurers, outlaws, and gamblers. The Old West became filled with many deadly combinations, some of them being liquor, cards, and guns. Gambling was not only a popular pastime but was also considered a profession to many.  Jump forward many years to when I think of the Gambler hat, and I think of the great guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughan.  With his music rooted in blues, rock, and jazz, his talent and style are legendary.
