The album and book document the traditional music of Yeha, an Ethiopian village in the far north of the country. Field recordings were made by David Evans, a musicologist who has been working with us since our first project in 2003. The digital release includes 22 recordings and a 52-page book providing insight into the region and its music, along with annotations for each track by Evans. The book also features over 65 photos of the musicians, their community, and life in Yeha. It is available in PDF format.
