Our White Twin over Twin Bunk Bed is constructed from solid pine with some minor MDF. However, everything structural on the bed such as rails and uprights are solid wood. This bed included a complete webbed slat kit so you do not have to worry about a box spring or bunky boards! With the option of adding a 3 drawer storage unit under the bed or a twin size trundle, this bed has the option for whatever you may need. Details White is a 6 step finish and is top-coated with a mild sheen. While Discovery utilizes MDF on non-structural areas of our white furniture, the use of solid wood is required to insure structural integrity and safety. Isolating and sealing the knots is the key to a quality white finish on solid wood. Expect minor imperfections and understand that a perfect white finish on solid wood is not attainable.
