This pad is a precision laser cut adhesive-backed foam rubber pad specially designed for the HC1-SHIM and HC1-SHIM-MOD. This part is totally optional, but it adds a cushion and skid resistance when placed on hard surfaces, and improves in-hand feel. HC1-SHIM-PAD-MOD works with HC1-SHIM and HC1-SHIM-MOD.
