The First Vision 200th Anniversary Commemorative Coin is part of a limited run of coins — only 500 exist — commemorating 200 years since Joseph Smith's "first vision," which took place in Palmyra, New York in the spring of 1820. One side of the coin features an image of God the Father and Jesus Christ appearing before Joseph Smith, along with the following inscription: THE FIRST VISION 200TH ANNIVERSARY 1820 - 2020 The back of the coin is inscribed with seven words that opened a dispensation: THIS IS MY BELOVED SON. HEAR HIM! Only 500 of these beautiful coins were struck and the die has been destroyed.
