The Bread Plate features a stunning Indian Tree design made by Syracuse China with intricate details and a beautiful patina that adds to its charm.  Syracuse China, was founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company (O.P. Co.) that located in a suburb of Syracuse to initially produce earthenware. In the late 19th century, it began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market particularly in railroad dining cars.   This breadplate is a true testament to Syracuse China's quality and craftsmanship, and is a rare find for collectors of restaurant ware and railroad ware.
